This slender black sandalwood hair stick is topped with a carved jade ornament in green. The pendant consists of a carved Xiuyu jade flower with a spiral pattern, a small round Feicui jade bead below, and gold-toned copper connectors. The Materials
Black sandalwood is a dense, dark hardwood with a fine grain. It takes a high polish and is naturally resistant to moisture, though it should not be soaked. Xiuyu jade is a nephrite jade from Xiuyan County, Liaoning Province, known for its soft green tones. Feicui jade (jadeite) is harder and more translucent, often used for small accent beads.
